Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Can Diminish Fibromyalgia Syndrome – Prospective Clinical Trial
The study was performed as a prospective clinical trial conducted at the hyperbaric institute and the research unit of Assaf-Harofeh Medical Center, Israel.

Conclusions: The study provides evidence that HBOT can improve the symptoms and life quality of FMS patients. Moreover, it shows that HBOT can induce neuroplasticity and significantly rectify abnormal brain activity in pain related areas of FMS patients. > Read the Study

Follow-up studies are needed in order to investigate the durability of the HBOT effects on Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS). It might be that some patients will need more HBOT sessions.
